Rams Stars Spotlight Jaguars Rookie Travis Hunter After London's Dominating Victory

Rams Overcome Jaguars in London, but Rookie Shines Bright
In a commanding display, the Los Angeles Rams triumphed over the Jacksonville Jaguars with a dominant score of 35-7 during their London showdown on Sunday. However, amidst the Rams' victory, two of their stars, quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Davante Adams, found themselves impressed by Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter.
A mic'd up video released by the NFL on Wednesday showcased the post-game respect the Rams players had for Hunter, acknowledging him as "a great kid." Adams even reached out for a personal connection, promising to share his phone number with the young prospect.
Hunter, despite the Jaguars' loss, delivered the best performance of his budding career, registering eight receptions for 101 yards and his first-ever touchdown. He also contributed on defense, showcasing his skills with a notable pass breakup while facing off against Adams during a deep shot from Stafford.
Despite Hunter's personal achievements, the Jaguars endured a rough outing, marking their second consecutive defeat and dropping to a 4-3 record. The Rams' defense suppressed Jacksonville effectively, allowing 28 unanswered points before Hunter managed to find the end zone, sparing the team from a shutout.
Jaguars head coach Liam Coen commented post-game, indicating his intention to expand Hunter’s role on both offense and defense. "I thought there were some definite flashes yesterday in terms of on offense. Specifically, he had a great pass breakup as well on defense," Coen praised. With the Jaguars taking a bye in Week 8, there are high hopes that Hunter will make a significant impact when they face the Las Vegas Raiders on November 2.
