Dodgers Dominate Blue Jays in Game 2, Series Tied 1-1

Blue Jays Struggle Against Dodgers in World Series Game 2
The Toronto Blue Jays faced a setback in Game 2 of the 2025 World Series, falling to the Los Angeles Dodgers with a score of 5-1 at home on Saturday night. Despite their earlier success in Game 1, the Blue Jays were unable to replicate their offensive performance, managing only four hits throughout the game.
Dodgers’ starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto delivered a complete game, stifling Toronto's lineup and earning the win. The Blue Jays’ star, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., went 1-for-4, but it was clear the team struggled against the Dodgers’ pitching.
Los Angeles opened the scoring in the first inning when Will Smith hit an RBI single, quickly placing the Blue Jays in a 1-0 disadvantage. Toronto responded in the third with a sacrifice fly from Alejandro Kirk, leveling the game at 1-1. The subsequent six innings turned into a pitching battle between Yamamoto and the Blue Jays’ Kevin Gausman.
However, Gausman encountered difficulties in the seventh inning, allowing solo home runs to Smith and Max Muncy, pushing the Dodgers ahead 3-1. The Dodgers extended their lead in the eighth inning, taking advantage of a wild pitch and a bases-loaded fielder's choice to secure a 5-1 advantage that the Blue Jays could not overcome.
With the series now tied at 1-1, the Blue Jays will need to regroup and prepare for Game 3, which is set to take place in Los Angeles on Monday at 8 p.m. ET.
