Damian Lillard Urges Raiders to Trade for QB Shedeur Sanders Amid Struggles

Portland Star Lillard Weighs in on Raiders' Quarterback Dilemma
After a crushing defeat, Portland Trail Blazers star and devoted Las Vegas Raiders fan Damian Lillard has suggested a bold move for the struggling NFL team. Following the Raiders' 40-6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, which dropped their record to 1-4, Lillard called for the Raiders to pursue a trade for Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
In a game that saw Raiders veteran quarterback Geno Smith struggle significantly, he managed only 228 passing yards alongside two interceptions, and endured four sacks during the game. This lackluster performance marks the second time this season that the Raiders have failed to score a touchdown in an entire game, raising concerns about their offensive capabilities.
Sanders, currently sitting as the third-string quarterback for the Browns, might appear to be a promising solution for the Raiders. With Cleveland recently promoting fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel to starting quarterback over veteran Joe Flacco, Sanders' opportunities remain limited. In his first career start, Gabriel threw for 190 yards and secured two touchdowns, although the Browns fell to the Minnesota Vikings 21-17 in London.
Despite Lillard's enthusiasm for a potential trade, it seems unlikely that the Raiders will be making a move for Sanders anytime soon. Smith's adjustment to the Raiders, following five seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, has proven challenging, and fans are left questioning how the team will reverse its fortunes ahead of the remaining season.
