In a tense moment during the Cleveland Browns' 19-17 victory over the Los Angeles Rams, head coach Kevin Stefanski and rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders had a notable sideline exchange as Sanders was pulled from the game with just two minutes remaining. “Obviously we didn't play great as an offense in the second half, that's never on one person. So we can be better in a bunch of areas,” Stefanski commented. He noted his decision to give backup quarterback Snoop Huntley a chance for a final drive in the closing moments.

Despite his rocky performance against the Rams, Sanders expressed optimism about his training camp experience, stating, “Camp was great and a learning experience.” He previously impressed during his preseason debut, completing 14 of 23 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns. While his last outing was disappointing, Sanders has shown promise as he navigates the learning curve of his rookie season.
