Cam Ward Signs Four-Year Contract with Tennessee Titans

Cam Ward, the consensus top quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft, has officially signed a four-year contract with the Tennessee Titans worth $48.75 million, which includes a $32.1 million signing bonus and a fifth-year team option. The announcement of his signing was reported by Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz.
The Titans faced a significant decision entering the 2025 NFL Draft: whether to select Ward or consider other top prospects such as two-way athlete Travis Hunter or edge-rusher Abdul Carter. Ultimately, the organization opted to address the critical quarterback position, a move that reflects their ongoing need for stability in that role. Under the previous regime, quarterback Will Levis struggled with performance, registering 3,899 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions over two seasons while completing just 61% of his passes and being sacked 69 times, resulting in a starting record of 5-16.
Ward's ascent in the draft is attributed to a standout season with the University of Miami in 2024, where he threw for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and only seven interceptions. His prior experience at Washington State further showcased his capabilities. During the pre-draft process, he made a strong impression on the Titans. Head coach Brian Callahan noted that Ward connected well with everyone within the organization, stating, 'There wasn't a person in the building that didn't come away impressed. There's an aura to him. He draws people to him.' Ward expressed confidence in the decision made by the Titans, emphasizing his commitment to earning their trust and focusing on winning games alongside his new teammates.
