Cam Ward Signs Contract with Tennessee Titans

Cam Ward has officially signed a four-year, $48.75 million contract with the Tennessee Titans, as reported by Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz. The agreement includes a signing bonus of $32.1 million along with a fifth-year team option. The decision to select Ward, regarded as the top quarterback in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, came after the Titans evaluated other options, such as two-way standout Travis Hunter and standout edge rusher Abdul Carter, who were also highly regarded.
The Titans faced a critical choice as their previous starting quarterback, Will Levis, struggled in his tenure. Over two seasons, Levis recorded 3,899 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions while completing only 61 percent of his passes and taking 69 sacks. His record as a starter stood at 5-16, prompting the need for a significant change at the quarterback position.
Ward's stellar performance in the 2024 season, during which he threw for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and only seven interceptions while playing for Miami, propelled him up the draft boards. After transferring from Washington State, Ward showcased his potential at the Hurricanes and impressed the Titans throughout the pre-draft process. Titans head coach Brian Callahan noted Ward's positive interactions with the team: 'There wasn't a person in the building that didn't come away impressed. There's an aura to him. He draws people to him.' Ward expressed confidence in his selection, stating, 'It's really proving myself right. They know they made the right choice in getting me. But at the end of the day, I am just trying to be with my teammates, have command of the huddle, and at the end of the day, try and win games. That is our main goal.'
