The identities of the teams that will be featured on the plaques of the 2025 Baseball Hall of Fame Class were revealed recently. Notable pitcher CC Sabathia will be immortalized with a New York Yankees logo on his cap, representative of the majority of his illustrious career spent in New York and Cleveland. Closer Billy Wagner's plaque will display the Houston Astros insignia, while outfielder Ichiro Suzuki will be honored with a Seattle Mariners cap. Additionally, Dave Parker will be represented with a Pittsburgh Pirates cap and Dick Allen will wear the Philadelphia Phillies' logo.

The selection process allowed players and their families to provide input regarding the team choices for the Hall of Fame; however, the ultimate decisions rested with the Hall's committee. Sabathia, who gained prominence in Cleveland with three of his six All-Star appearances, concluded his career in New York, where he won a World Series title with the Yankees in 2009. Despite his success with multiple teams, he emphasized the significance of his time in New York, stating, 'The Yankees was the place that wanted me.' Having spent 16 years with the organization, Sabathia has consistently affirmed his connection to the Bronx franchise.

Billy Wagner commenced his notable career with the Houston Astros in 1995, quickly establishing himself as one of the premier closers in Major League Baseball. Over the course of his career, Wagner maintained impressive statistics, including a 2.03 ERA and 0.946 WHIP from 2004 through the conclusion of the 2010 season. Though he enjoyed stints with teams such as the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, and Atlanta Braves, his 464 appearances with the Astros remain the most for a single team. Similarly, Ichiro Suzuki made a significant mark during his tenure with the Mariners, achieving All-Star status in each of his first ten seasons. He is revered in Seattle as the all-time leader in hits and batting average. Likewise, Dave Parker made an early impact with the Pirates, garnering four All-Star nods and securing the 1978 National League MVP award during his time with the team. Dick Allen, who earned the 1972 American League MVP title with the Chicago White Sox, has a deeper connection to the Phillies, where he played more than twice as many games and claimed the National League Rookie of the Year honor in 1964. The Class of 2025 is set to be inducted in Cooperstown, New York, on July 27.
