Timberwolves Launch Indigo City Edition Uniforms Inspired by Prince

Timberwolves Pay Tribute to Prince with New City Edition Uniforms
The Minnesota Timberwolves have officially unveiled their latest City Edition uniforms and court design, inspired by the iconic music legend Prince. With an indigo-themed design that nods to the roots of the late artist, this season’s look is set to make a memorable impact.
The Wolves will kick off their 2025-26 season on Wednesday, October 22, facing off against the Portland Trail Blazers. Fans can look forward to the team’s home opener on Sunday, October 26, against the Indiana Pacers. However, the much-anticipated debut of the City Edition uniforms will take place on Saturday, November 15, when the Timberwolves host the Denver Nuggets. These stylish threads are set to be worn seven times throughout the season.
L. Londell McMillan, representative of the Prince Estate, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, "Prince was a genius, an innovator, and a proud Minnesotan. This collaboration with the Timberwolves not only honors his music but his love for basketball, his hometown, and his commitment to creativity and community. Seeing this uniform return is a powerful reminder of his lasting influence on the Twin Cities and a connection to a new generation of fans."
The Timberwolves first introduced Prince-themed uniforms during the 2018-19 season, and they quickly became a fan favorite. This season, the celebration is set to be even more extensive with the inclusion of a custom-designed court adorned with Prince's iconic Love Symbol at center court. Additionally, fans can expect in-arena musical performances from artists closely associated with Prince, further enhancing the festive atmosphere.
As the Timberwolves prepare to honor this legendary figure, fans are eager to see their favorite team don these special uniforms once again. The return of the Prince-inspired uniform is not just a fashion statement but a celebration of music, culture, and basketball.
