Texas Rangers Unveil Special Edition Jujutsu Kaisen Jerseys for Anime Night

On Thursday, the Texas Rangers made an announcement that is poised to excite fans of anime culture. The team unveiled their special-edition jerseys for the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen Night, scheduled for July 1 against the Baltimore Orioles. This themed event has already garnered significant interest, as the tickets for the night are reportedly sold out.
Fans who secured their tickets will have the opportunity to receive the co-branded jersey upon their arrival at Globe Life Field. This initiative is part of a broader strategy by the Rangers, who have planned numerous Theme Nights throughout the remainder of the season, including celebrated events like AEW Wrestling Night, Hello Kitty Night, Barbie Night, Superman Day, among others.
This collaboration marks another instance of Major League Baseball's foray into anime partnerships. Earlier in the year, MLB announced an official collaboration with the popular anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, produced by Ufotable. This partnership featured a special video involving notable players such as Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Shota Imanaga of the Chicago Cubs. Additionally, MLB disclosed a collaboration with director Hiroshi Shimizu for an anime project titled Heroes of the Game, which showcases star athletes including Shohei Ohtani, Paul Skenes, Aaron Judge, and Juan Soto. As the Rangers currently hold a record of 27-30, placing them third in the American League West, they are looking to regain momentum after losing eight of their last ten games, including a recent 2-0 shutout against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Rangers will face the St. Louis Cardinals in a three-game series starting Friday.
