Ohtani's adoration for Decoy is no secret; it marks the second time the three-time MVP has showcased his furry friend through fashion. During the 2024 All-Star festivities, he donned a suit adorned with pictures of Decoy, further endearing himself to fans and followers alike.

The popularity of Decoy has notably increased alongside Ohtani's impressive career with the Dodgers. Interestingly, Decoy played a part in Ohtani's recruitment to Los Angeles during the 2023 free agency, as the Toronto Blue Jays were among several teams vying for the star player.
