Seth Curry Returns to Warriors on One-Year Deal, Reunites with Brother Stephen

Seth Curry Signs One-Year Contract with the Golden State Warriors
In a thrilling move for Golden State Warriors fans, Seth Curry has officially signed a one-year, $3.6 million contract with the team, reuniting him with his older brother, Stephen Curry. The announcement comes as part of the Warriors' efforts to strengthen their roster ahead of the new NBA season.
A Humorous Start
During his introductory press conference on Thursday, Seth couldn't help but inject some humor into the situation, joking about his attempts to purchase Stephen's legendary No. 30 jersey. "I tried to buy it from him, but he wasn't having it," Seth quipped, reflecting the light-hearted camaraderie they share.
A Journey Back to Golden State
Seth Curry's connection with the Warriors dates back to 2013 when he initially signed a non-guaranteed contract after a successful collegiate career with Liberty and Duke. Although he played in the 2013 preseason with the Warriors, he ultimately joined the Santa Cruz Warriors, the franchise's G League affiliate.
Proven NBA Experience
Now at 35 years old, Seth has established a significant presence in the NBA, featuring for various teams such as the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, and most recently the Charlotte Hornets. Throughout his career, he has averaged 10.0 points per game on an impressive 47.1 percent shooting, which includes 43.3 percent from beyond the arc.
Excited for the Opportunity
Eager to play alongside his brother, Seth expressed enthusiasm about joining the Warriors at this stage of his career. Having watched plenty of Warriors games over the years, he feels well-prepared to integrate into the team’s dynamics. Seth joins a roster led by the likes of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green, supported by promising talents such as Jonathan Kuminga, Buddy Hield, and Brandin Podziemski.
A New Addition to the Squad
The Warriors have also brought in veteran big man Al Horford, who will help fill the gap left by Kevon Looney following his move to the New Orleans Pelicans. With training camp underway and the first preseason game set for Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers, Seth Curry will provide critical backcourt depth and shooting off the bench, having averaged 45.6 percent on three-pointers last season with the Hornets.
