Following the game, Juan Soto expressed his frustrations, acknowledging the difficulties the team has encountered. He stated, "Nobody said it's going to be easy to go all the way. It's a challenge. We've got to go out there and take it from them. Nobody is going to bring the trophy over here and give it to us, we've got to go out there and take it." Soto further emphasized the need for the team to find solutions, noting the frustrations felt by both the offense and the starting players.

Nevertheless, despite the current difficulties, the Mets still hold a three-game lead over the Cincinnati Reds for the final wild-card spot in the National League and remain only 2.5 games behind the Philadelphia Phillies in their division. As Soto noted, no one will hand them anything; however, the team still has opportunities to turn their season around as the playoffs approach.
