On Thursday, the NBA unveiled the court design and uniforms for the 2025 All-Star Game, set to take place at Chase Center in San Francisco. The court design incorporates the iconic blue and yellow color scheme of the Golden State Warriors, featuring a silhouette that evokes the famous Golden Gate and San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridges.
Inspired by the vibrant cultures of San Francisco and Oakland, the All-Star court symbolizes the connections among Bay Area communities, with a color palette that pays tribute to the host team, the Golden State Warriors. The jerseys reflect regional nuances as well; the red All-Star uniform set features a cable car depicted along the waistband of the shorts, while the navy and light blue uniforms include an oak tree on the waistband.
This year's All-Star Game introduces a unique format, necessitating three different jersey designs instead of the usual two. The 2025 event will not be a standalone game; rather, it will feature a four-team tournament. The 24 selected All-Stars will be evenly divided into three teams, with the fourth team composed of Rising Stars honorees. Celebrated NBA personalities Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kenny Smith will serve as honorary general managers for the All-Star teams, selecting their rosters on the evening of the announcement. The Rising Stars representatives will consist of players awarded honors from the Rising Stars Challenge, with NBA legends Chris Mullin, Mitch Richmond, and Tim Hardaway Sr. drafting their teams from a pool of 21 NBA rookies and sophomores. Leading the team of seven players representing the NBA G League is notable player Jeremy Lin. The festivities will begin on February 14, with the Skills Challenge, Three-Point Contest, and Slam Dunk Contest scheduled for February 15, culminating in the All-Star tournament semifinals and championship on February 16.
