He capped off his 2025 season with an impressive 15 defensive runs saved, placing him among the elite in the National League; this tied him for the highest total among NL outfielders and ranked him sixth overall among all NL players, according to FanGraphs. In addition, Tatis showcased his skills with eight outs above average, reinforcing his reputation as a defensive asset.

Bobby Witt Jr.'s Stellar Performance

On the other hand, Witt impressed fans and analysts alike by securing his second consecutive Gold Glove award. He excelled at his position by leading all American League shortstops with 43 double plays started. Witt's defensive excellence didn't stop there; he recorded 24 outs above average, the top mark in the AL and tied for the most across the majors.
