Miami Dolphins Part Ways with GM Chris Grier After Heavy Loss to Ravens

Miami Dolphins Make Major Changes Following Loss to Baltimore Ravens
In the wake of a disappointing 28-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the Miami Dolphins have announced a significant shakeup within their organization. Chris Grier, who had been serving as the general manager since 2016, is no longer with the team, as confirmed by Dolphins Chairman Stephen Ross.
In a statement, Ross expressed his gratitude towards Grier, who has been with the organization for an impressive 26 years. "This morning, I made the decision along with general manager Chris Grier to mutually part ways," Ross said. He highlighted his respect for Grier and acknowledged his many contributions over the years.
Ross emphasized the need for change, stating, "As I assessed the state of the team and in my discussions with Chris, it became clear to both of us that change could not wait. We must improve — in 2025, 2026 and beyond — and it needs to start right now." Effective immediately, Champ Kelly will serve as the interim general manager as the search for a permanent replacement begins.
The Chairman underlined the importance of the remaining season, urging the team to fight even harder: "There is a lot of football left to play and we all need to fight even harder." Ross expressed his ongoing commitment to building a winning team and delivering a championship-caliber franchise to their dedicated fanbase.
After the announcement, wide receiver Tyreek Hill took to social media, seemingly reacting to the GM change. Fans are now left anticipating how this leadership transition will impact the team's trajectory moving forward.
