Reflecting on his current performance, Dončić acknowledged to reporters, "That's going to be tough." He elaborated on the potential hurdles, stating, "Sometimes they're going to double me more. Sometimes I won't be able to score that much." He continued to analyze his shot selection, admitting, "I had I think three or four shots that were crazy shots that I felt like doing, but they were terrible shots. So … I've got to work on that." Despite the difficulty, it is evident that the Lakers’ superstar is ready to rise to the occasion.

Teammate Austin Reaves has confidence in Dončić’s capabilities, expressing that he believes Dončić can average 40 points per game, to which Dončić humorously responded, "Austin's stupid." ESPN's Dave McMenamin highlighted that Dončić has become the first Laker since the legendary Kobe Bryant in 2007 to average 45 points or more in a span of three games.
