Lakers Stars Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves Foster Bromance with Competitive Spirit

Friendship and Rivalry Off the Court
Los Angeles Lakers stars Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves have quickly developed a strong friendship that extends beyond the basketball court. In a recent interview with ESPN's Dave McMenamin, the duo opened up about their budding bromance, which is marked by good-natured competition.
Golfing Escapades and Wagering
Doncic humorously admitted that he is hesitant to challenge his teammate's golfing skills. "I'm ducking him," he stated. Meanwhile, Reaves acknowledged Doncic's superiority in foosball, conceding that Doncic is the favorite in that realm. Interestingly, even though Reaves does not regularly follow football, he made a friendly wager that the Minnesota Vikings would triumph over Doncic's cherished Dallas Cowboys in their Week 15 matchup.
Competing in All Areas
The Lakers guards expressed that they share many similarities in their competitive spirits, competing not only in basketball but also in various games such as cards, bowling, and darts. "He hasn't beaten me at either," Reaves quipped, showcasing their playful rivalry.
Bowling Night and Different Memories
Competition continued during a friendly dinner at Doncic's place, where he invited Reaves and his friends, including Lakers assistant coach Greg St. Jean and head video coordinator Michael Wexler. The group split into three-man teams for multiple bowling games. "But it all really came down to the 1-on-1 at the end," Reaves recalled, although their recollections of the outcome differ. "I won," Doncic stated confidently, while Reaves claims, "I'm 3-0" against him.
On-Court Chemistry
The friendly rivalry and chemistry off the court will be put to the test when the Lakers face off against the Houston Rockets on Christmas Day, allowing fans to witness their dynamic partnership in action.
