In an interview with Jackie Fields of People, Brown candidly acknowledged his initial embarrassment but quickly transformed that emotion into confidence. "I was a little bit embarrassed. And then I got mad at myself for being embarrassed at all," he shared. He humorously added, "Those dudes should be grateful. They're lucky that I left my mark on them. I should get a thank you card: 'You have the residue of a champion on you. You're welcome.'"

Over the past couple of years, Brown has faced his own hair struggles and has partnered with Nutrafol, a hair growth supplement brand, to address his hair thinning issues. He aims not only to improve his own situation but also to destigmatize the conversation around hair loss. "The stress of winning an NBA championship in 2024 and trying to defend the title last season played a part in my hair loss," Brown explained, highlighting the intense pressure he feels during his career.

Despite the challenges he faces, Brown has embraced his hair issues, asserting that it has only fueled his resolve. "I know a lot of people are afraid of embarrassment and afraid of failure... I could care less," he stated. He believes that rather than hindering him, such moments of perceived ridicule actually help him grow stronger and more focused. "I'll rub my hair on three more teams," Brown concluded, indicating his readiness to continue leaving his mark—both on and off the court.
