JaMarr Chase Commemorates 2024 Season with Custom Chain
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase recently showcased a new accessory to celebrate his outstanding performance during the 2024 NFL season. The 24-year-old shared a video on his Instagram story, revealing a custom chain engraved with the words 'uno' and 'triple crown' on the front, accompanied by '1708,' representing his total receiving yards for the season.
The reverse side of the chain features an image of Chase executing a one-handed catch, symbolizing his distinction as the NFL's triple-crown winner for receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. Throughout the 2024 season, Chase demonstrated remarkable consistency, participating in all 17 games and recording 127 receptions for a total of 1,708 yards and an impressive 17 touchdowns. His performance secured his position as the league leader in each of these categories, while also setting career highs.
Chase's achievements during the season earned him a first-team All-Pro selection, and he finished eighth in MVP voting and third for the Offensive Player of the Year award. His triumph marks a significant milestone; he is the first player since Cooper Kupp in 2021 to secure the receiving triple crown, joining the ranks of Kupp, Steve Smith (2005), Sterling Sharpe (1992), and Jerry Rice (1990) as one of the few receivers to achieve this accolade in NFL history. Although the Bengals faced challenges early in the season, starting with a 1-4 record, they were able to finish strong at 9-8, just missing out on the playoff spot. This remarkable season for Chase occurs as he prepares to play under his fifth-year option unless the Bengals manage to negotiate an extension.
