Grayson Rodriguez Discusses Trade to Angels: No Physical Needed Amid Recovery

Grayson Rodriguez Comments on His Trade to the Los Angeles Angels
In a recent interview with Todd Frazier on Foul Territory, Grayson Rodriguez, the right-handed pitcher, confirmed that he was not required to undergo a physical examination before the Baltimore Orioles traded him to the Los Angeles Angels. The trade, which occurred on Tuesday, saw Rodriguez moving to the Angels in exchange for outfielder Taylor Ward.
Rodriguez's Injury History
Rodriguez's move to the Angels comes after a challenging period for the young pitcher. He hasn't pitched since July 31, 2024, due to discomfort in his right lat/teres. His 2024 season was cut short, and he faced further difficulties in 2025, missing the entire season because of elbow and lat injuries. Ultimately, he underwent debridement surgery on his right elbow, signaling a challenging recovery ahead.
As Rodriguez transitions to his new team, it will be interesting to see how his recovery progresses and how he contributes to the Angels' pitching rotation.
