First Fan Voting Returns for 2025 NBA All-Star Game

The initial fan voting results for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game have been disclosed, highlighting two former league MVPs at the forefront of the ballot. Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks emerged as the leading overall vote-getter, collecting over 1.7 million votes. Close behind is Nikola Jokić of the Denver Nuggets, who leads the Western Conference with more than 1.4 million votes. Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is also making a strong showing with nearly 1.4 million votes.
Antetokounmpo is having a standout season in his 11th year with the Bucks, leading the NBA with a career-high average of 32.6 points per game, while also shooting an impressive 61.0 percent from the field. His contributions extend beyond scoring, as he averages 11.6 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game. Under his leadership, the Bucks have achieved a 17-14 record and secured the NBA Cup championship, fueling his ambition to add to his accolades later this season.
Meanwhile, Jokić continues his remarkable performance with the Nuggets, helping them to a 19-13 record. He currently ranks third in the league with averages of 30.7 points and 13.0 rebounds while also placing second with 9.7 assists per game. His shooting statistics are noteworthy, boasting a 56.1 percent accuracy from the field and an impressive 49.2 percent from beyond the arc. Tatum, serving as the key player for the defending-champion Celtics, leads his team, who hold a 24-9 record, with averages of 28.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists, along with 1.3 steals per game. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder is the standout guard in either conference, having received over 1 million votes. The 26-year-old has propelled the Thunder to first place in the Western Conference with a remarkable 27-5 record, averaging 31.3 points while contributing 6.0 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.2 blocks per contest. Voting for the 2025 All-Star Game will close on January 20 at 11:59 p.m. ET, with the list of starters set to be unveiled on January 23 during TNT's NBA Tip-Off prior to a doubleheader featuring the Bucks against the Miami Heat and the Celtics squaring off against the Los Angeles Lakers. This year's All-Star Game will adopt an innovative new format, featuring a four-team tournament that includes three squads of eight NBA All-Stars and the victorious team from the Rising Stars Game. The team draft, conducted by Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kenny Smith, is scheduled for February 6. The All-Star Weekend festivities will commence on February 14 and culminate with the All-Star Game on February 16.
