Adams has a contractual out that could lead to a dead cap hit of just $8.3 million in 2025, or a more favorable figure of over $2 million should he be released or traded after June 1. Remaining with the Jets on his current contract would result in the same cap hit for 2025 and 2026, making a contract restructure imperative.
