Chicago Bears Expand Stadium Search to Northeast Indiana Amid State Leadership Concerns

Chicago Bears' Stadium Future in Question
In a recent communication to season-ticket holders, Chicago Bears president and CEO Kevin Warren announced the team is expanding its search for a new stadium site, specifically looking at locations in Northeast Indiana. This announcement comes after feedback from state leadership indicating that the Bears' stadium project will not be a priority in the year 2026, despite its potential benefits to Illinois.
Warren emphasized the long-standing efforts of the organization in search of a new home, stating, "We have been told directly by State leadership our project will not be a priority in 2026 despite the benefits it will bring to Illinois." He reiterated that this is not a negotiating tactic but rather a necessary step to ensure the team delivers the world-class stadium that fans, players, and coaches deserve.
"We spent years trying to build a new home in Cook County. We invested significant time and resources evaluating multiple sites and rationally decided on Arlington Heights. Our fans deserve a world-class stadium. Our players and coaches deserve a venue that matches the championship standard they strive for every day," Warren remarked. He concluded by stating, "With that in mind, our organization must keep every credible pathway open to deliver that future."
