Changes to the 2025 Castrol Rising Stars Lineup

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama and Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller are among four players who have been replaced in this year's 2025 Castrol Rising Stars, a showcase event during the NBA All-Star Weekend. The event features the league's top rookies and second-year players, alongside standout talents from the G-League. The NBA made this announcement on Friday evening.
In notable substitutions, guard Kris Dunn will take the place of Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jared McCain, while Rainier Black, Jermaine Camara, and Amen Thompson will replace Dallas Mavericks sophomore Dereck Lively II, as well as Wembanyama and Miller. While Wembanyama has been recognized as an All-Star Game reserve and is set to compete in the main event on February 16 at San Francisco's Chase Center, Miller's season will come to an unfortunate early end due to a torn ligament in his right wrist.
Updates on the changes and further analysis will be provided as more information becomes available.
