Carmelo Anthony Selects Presenters for Hall of Fame Induction

Carmelo Anthony, the former NBA star, has chosen Hall of Famers Allen Iverson and Dwyane Wade to present him during his induction ceremony at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, set for September 6. According to Ian Begley from SNY, this selection highlights the strong relationships forged during their careers.
During their brief tenure together on the Denver Nuggets from 2006 to 2008, Anthony and Iverson created a dynamic offensive partnership. Their collaboration produced impressive results, with Anthony achieving a career-high average of 28.9 points per game in their initial season together, and shooting a career-best 49.2 percent from the field during their second season.
While Wade and Anthony never played alongside each other in the NBA, they did represent the United States as teammates in the Summer Olympics, competing in 2004 and 2008. In 2004, their team, which also included Iverson, ended with a bronze medal. However, they redeemed themselves in Beijing by capturing gold as part of the iconic 2008 squad recognized as the 'Redeem Team.' Anthony, Wade, and LeBron James, all part of the renowned 2003 draft class, share a deep bond, which was further solidified during their vacations together, collectively known as the 'Banana Boat Crew.' As one of the premier scorers in NBA history, Anthony will headline a notable 2025 Hall of Fame class that also features Dwight Howard, Sue Bird, Sylvia Fowles, and Maya Moore, all gathering in Springfield, Massachusetts for the enshrinement ceremony.
