Bronny James Shines in G League Return with Career-High Performance

Bronny James made a notable return to the G League after nearly a month, demonstrating his skills in a standout performance that saw him score a career-high 31 points. He finished the game shooting 10-of-22 from the field, while also contributing four assists, three steals, and two rebounds in the South Bay Lakers' 122-110 victory over the Rip City Remix.
Following the game, James expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play and enjoy the game of basketball. He highlighted his appreciation for being active and healthy, stating, 'I am having fun. Any time I'm playing basketball, any time I'm out here breathing, any time I'm out here walking... I'm grateful for everything.' His enthusiasm was palpable as the young player celebrated his achievements on the court.
Among the highlights of his performance was a remarkable poster dunk over 6'11" center Sterling Manley in the third quarter, which served as a pivotal moment in the game. Prior to his dunk, the Lakers trailed 80-78, but James’ play helped ignite a 9-4 run to close the quarter and take the lead. The South Bay Lakers dominated the second half, outscoring the Rip City Remix 64-43. James’ recent performances in the G League have been encouraging, as he has averaged 23.0 points on 45.8 percent shooting from three-point range, alongside 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in his three regular-season appearances.
