Baltimore Orioles Introduce Birdland Value Menu Amidst Offseason Changes

The Baltimore Orioles are making efforts to enhance the fan experience at Oriole Park amid recent challenges in free agency, highlighted by the losses of notable players Corbin Burnes and Anthony Santander. In an initiative aimed at providing some comfort to their supporters, the Orioles have announced the introduction of the Birdland Value Menu for home games, featuring reduced prices on select food items.
This new value menu is part of a broader strategy by the Orioles organization to position Oriole Park as one of the most family-friendly venues in Major League Baseball. The team has touted ticket prices starting as low as $15, allowing a family of four to attend a game for under $100. According to the Sports Business Journal, the average price for a hot dog across all 30 Major League Baseball parks during the 2024 season stood at $5.99. Among the teams, the Toronto Blue Jays offered the lowest average price at $2.55, while the Oakland Athletics had the most expensive average at $8.39.
Notably, the introduction of the Birdland Value Menu comes on the heels of findings which indicated that the Orioles had one of the pricier food offerings in the league. A report from USA Today in May 2023 highlighted that the Orioles charged the most for a hot dog in MLB, priced at $8.25, and were tied for the second highest beer price at 69 cents per ounce. The Birdland Value Menu will feature options available at ten different locations within Oriole Park, including six sites located in the main concourse. The Orioles are set to play their first home game of the 2025 regular season on March 31 against the Boston Red Sox.
