Baltimore Orioles Introduce Birdland Value Menu Ahead of 2025 Season

In the wake of losing key players Corbin Burnes and Anthony Santander to free agency, the Baltimore Orioles have taken a proactive step to engage their fanbase as they prepare for the 2025 season. The organization announced the introduction of the Birdland Value Menu on Wednesday, aimed at offering discounted prices on select food items during home games. This initiative seeks to enhance the game-day experience at Oriole Park by providing fans with more affordable concession options.
The Birdland Value Menu is part of the Orioles' broader aim to transform Oriole Park into one of the most family-friendly venues in Major League Baseball. The team also highlighted that ticket prices will start as low as $15, allowing a family of four to attend a game for less than $100. According to data from the Sports Business Journal, the average cost of a hot dog across all MLB ballparks during the 2024 season was $5.99, with the Toronto Blue Jays offering the lowest average price at $2.55, while the Oakland Athletics had the highest at $8.39.
This move comes in response to previous reports indicating that the Orioles had some of the most expensive food options in the league. A May 2023 report from USA Today referenced data indicating that the Orioles sold the most expensive hot dog in MLB at $8.25 and had one of the highest beer prices, measuring costs at 69 cents per ounce. The Birdland Value Menu seeks to alleviate some financial strain on attendees, allowing them to enjoy more affordable food options at ten different locations within Oriole Park, including six places in the main concourse. The team is set to play their first home game of the 2025 regular season on March 31 against the Boston Red Sox.
