Mark Jones shared insights during ESPN's broadcast of the Timberwolves' matchup against the Denver Nuggets, revealing that Edwards reached out to Jordan approximately three weeks ago for advice on handling the double teams and defensive traps he has encountered.

The Timberwolves had a breakout year, finishing with an impressive 56-26 record, which advanced them to the Western Conference Finals. However, with increased success comes increased defensive attention, leading to early struggles for Edwards. In December, he averaged just 20.5 points per game. He expressed candid frustration regarding his adjustment to a more passive playing style, noting, 'That was a good brand of basketball, but it's not how I want to play, of course. I'm only 23, I don't want to be just passing the ball all night, you feel me? But the way that they're guarding me, I think I have to.'

Recently, however, Edwards has turned his game around, showcasing his scoring ability.
