Aaron Judge Climbs the Yankees' Home Run List, Passes DiMaggio Against Red Sox

Aaron Judge Makes History with Career Home Run No. 362
New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge continued to etch his name into the franchise's record books on Friday night. In a crucial matchup against the Boston Red Sox, Judge launched a solo home run in the first inning, marking his 362nd career homer. This impressive feat allowed him to surpass Yankees legend Joe DiMaggio, securing the fourth spot on the team's all-time home run leaderboard.
Previously tied with DiMaggio just a day earlier, Judge now trails only legendary Yankees icons Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and Lou Gehrig for the most home runs in franchise history. Notably, DiMaggio’s final home run also came against the Red Sox in 1951, adding a layer of historical significance to Judge's achievement.
The 33-year-old has been enjoying a stellar season, leading Major League Baseball with a remarkable .324 batting average and a 1.120 OPS. Judge's stats this season have been nothing short of impressive, including 28 doubles, 47 home runs, 101 RBIs, and 104 walks across 137 games. He has shown his exceptional form in recent games, boasting a .347/.500/.796 slash line over the last 15 outings.
Judge's production has been a key factor in the Yankees' offensive success this season. Currently, the Yankees lead all MLB teams with 762 runs scored and 250 home runs as of 2025. His latest home run was particularly important, as the Yankees entered the game with only a 0.5-game lead over the Red Sox in the American League East standings, and are three games behind the Toronto Blue Jays for the division title.
