A.J. Brown Voices Frustrations Over Eagles Offense Amid Struggles

A.J. Brown Speaks Out on Offensive Inconsistency
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown made headlines this week during a video stream where he candidly referred to the 2025 season as a "s--t show." His remarks reflect a deep frustration with the inconsistent performance of the Eagles' offense, rather than a focus on his individual statistics.
"It's not just solely about my situation," Brown explained to reporters on Wednesday. "Obviously, I want to win too. I think if we're really focused on winning and doing our job, we can't just keep snapping the band-aid over the defense doing their job and getting us out of trouble." He posed a critical question: "At what point are we going to pick up our slack as an offense?"
Brown's Statistical Struggles
Despite being one of the league's top receivers, entering the season with over 1,000 yards in five of the previous six years, Brown's performance this season has been underwhelming. He currently has 31 catches for 408 yards and three touchdowns. Notably, Brown even suggested that fantasy football players should remove him from their teams, underscoring his lack of personal satisfaction with the season.
These comments were particularly poignant following his lackluster performance in the Eagles' recent 10-7 win over the Green Bay Packers, where he recorded only two catches for 13 yards on three targets, marking the fourth time this season he failed to reach 30 yards in a game.
Team Dynamics and Leadership
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni acknowledged after the Packers game that plays designed for Brown sometimes have to be adjusted due to the effectiveness of the opposing defenses. However, Brown's frustrations extend beyond personal performance; he emphasized that the offense's struggles are putting unnecessary pressure on the defense to perform.
Despite these issues, the Eagles hold a strong 7-2 record and remain in first place in the NFC East. However, Brown's concerns raise questions about the team's ability to compete for another Lombardi Trophy if offensive consistency does not improve. The superstar receiver's candid comments highlight a critical moment for the Eagles as they navigate the remainder of the season.
