Joe Burrow Sparks Bengals to Victory, Fueling Playoff Hopes After Thanksgiving Win

Cincinnati Bengals Secure 32-14 Win Against Ravens
In a much-anticipated return, Joe Burrow led the Cincinnati Bengals to a convincing 32-14 road victory over the Baltimore Ravens in an AFC North clash this Thanksgiving. This win has ignited discussions among fans about the Bengals' potential playoff aspirations after snapping a four-game losing streak.
Burrow, who had been sidelined for the past nine games due to turf toe surgery, made a splendid comeback, throwing for 261 yards and two touchdowns while completing 24 of 46 passes. His last appearance before this game was in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, where the Bengals also triumphed with a score of 31-27.
With this victory, Cincinnati improved their record to 4-8 and now sits third in the competitive AFC North. The team's performance during Burrow's absence starkly contrasts his returns; they are now 8-0 in his last eight starts compared to a disappointing 1-8 without him. While the Bengals' path to the playoffs remains narrow, the victory has certainly opened up possibilities.
Currently, the Bengals are at No. 12 in the AFC, five spots short of the final Wild Card position. Their route to a playoff berth appears to hinge on the shaky performance of the AFC North, particularly after closing the gap on the Ravens, who are currently sitting at 6-6, with the Pittsburgh Steelers leading the division at 6-5.
Ja'Marr Chase complemented Burrow's efforts with a strong performance, accumulating 110 yards on seven receptions. Meanwhile, Baltimore's Lamar Jackson struggled, throwing for 246 yards with no touchdowns, one interception, and two fumbles, contributing to a total of five costly turnovers that undermined their chances of victory.
The game saw the Ravens take an early lead, reaching 7-3 after the first quarter despite their initial fumble. However, by halftime, the Bengals had pulled ahead with a score of 12-7 after converting three field goals and taking advantage of the Ravens' turnovers.
In the third quarter, Cincinnati continued to capitalize, scoring two touchdowns, while Baltimore managed just one to enter the final frame trailing 26-14. Although the fourth quarter was turbulent for both teams, with more turnovers and fumbles, Cincinnati managed to extend their lead with two additional field goals, securing the win.
The Bengals now look ahead to a challenging matchup against the Buffalo Bills next Sunday, followed by a rematch against the Ravens at home on December 14.
